Baird Cattle Feeders LLC is a commercial feedyard located southwest of Nelson, NE. The feedyard was founded in 2020 by Spencer and Laura (Wehrman) Baird. The feedyard was designed and built by Spencer utilizing his degree in Mechanized Systems Management from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Input on the design, operation and cattle nutrition is provided by Koers-Davis Consulting Inc. A lot of the feedstuffs utilized by the feedyard are grown by Laura's family farming operation which Spencer has been involved in since 2019. The family farming operation has been producing in Nuckolls County since the late 1800's. Laura teaches kindergarten in nearby Superior, NE and helps with cattle health. Laura's passion is rescuing horses which are utilized in the feedyard everyday. Baird Cattle Feeders is a family operation that works hard to give the best care and nutrition possible for every animal to reach its full potential.
